ACAA’s new home is in the former ATCO building on 47th Street that they will transition into on Sept. 1.

The Association of Communities Against Abuse (ACAA) will be moving from the Christ King Catholic School to the former ATCO building on the 47 Street on Sept. 1, 2016.

“Due to growing numbers at the school, we have made this decision, and since ACAA’s lease was anyway expiring at the end of 2016, the agency has taken steps to find a new home,” said Stephanie Hadley, program director at ACAA.

“The new office space will be a great fit for ACAA’s ongoing services, including treatment programs for survivors of childhood sexual abuse and trauma, in school and community violence prevention programs, and training programs and presentations for the public on abuse related issues,” said Hadley.

ACAA will also continue to partner with the Committee for the Prevention of Family Violence, offering the Shaping Tomorrow programs for both men and women, with a new session starting this fall.

Hadley added, “ACAA is pleased to have The Action Group joining the agency in the new space, as both services have previously operated out of the Christ King School and recognized the opportunity to share the new space.”
