Best wishes to Trevor Newton as he recovers in Three Hills hospital after being transferred from Red Deer hospital where he had surgery a couple of weeks ago.

Talked to Trevor and he hopes to be home by the end of the week. As Trevor and I are close to the same age, we agree that getting older is not for sissies.

Ernie and Jacqui Goddard celebated their 55th wedding anniversary on August 19 by spending a quiet day at home in the cold and wet weather. However, we did get together with family and friends in Red Deer on Saturday, Aug. 21when we met for dinner.

In the afternoon, we attended a memorial service for a man that Ernie worked with on the rigs some 55 yrs ago in Saskatchewan. Renewing old acquaintances was nice. Reuben was 88 years old and had lived a very full and productive life.
