No injuries were reported Sunday afternoon after a van left the road and flipped near the intersection of Highway 11 and Highway 12. Stettler RCMP, the Stettler Regional Fire Department and EMS responded to the 12:39 p.m. call.
RCMP reported that the 20-year-old female driver and two other occupants weren’t injured, because they were wearing seatbelts.
“The 45-year-old mother of the driver was wheelchair-bound and was assisted by Good Samaritan Bill Scott from Stettler until emergency personnel arrived,” said Const. Carter Boytinck.
“Icy road conditions and driver inexperience were factors. There were no charges laid.”
