The flurry of announcements coming from Clearview Public Schools related to the 2022/2023 school year continues.
In the latest announcement, Clearview has named Candace Hodder as the incoming principal of Botha School.
Hodder will take over once current principal Pat Martin retires at the end of the current year.
An educator for over a decade, Hodder will be joining Clearview from the Battle River School Division where she has served as assistant-principal of Bashaw School for the last four years.
“We are happy to have Candace Hodder joining the Clearview team next year,” said superintendent Brenda MacDonald, via a media release.
“We appreciate her experience as an administrator and her background working with students to support their unique learning needs … We admire that Candace brings confidence, compassion and excitement about learning to her work, and we know those qualities will serve her well in Clearview.”
Hodder is currently working towards the completion of her Masters Degree with a focus on mental health and wellness.
“I am excited to come to Clearview, and especially to a small school,” Hodder said in the release.
Hodder noted that possibilities exist in small schools to make “authentic connections” that can be built into a “family oriented culture.”
“I am eager to find ways to connect with families, students and staff in Botha with my new colleagues in Clearview.”
