In just a few short weeks, great tunes will be heard in West Stettler Park thanks to the annual run of ‘Music in the Park’.
Organizers are excited about the roster of performers set to hit the stage – a detailed break-down of who is playing will be announced in June.
“Our first concert will be on June 26th and it runs every Wednesday at West Stettler Park,” said Brad Robbins, manager of recreation and culture with the Town of Stettler.
Concerts run from 7 to 8 p.m.
“The only Wednesday that we don’t run a performance is the July 3rd date, which is because we have a big performance on July 1st as part of our Canada Day celebrations,” he said.
“After that, they go every Wednesday right up to our final show on August 28th.”
Residents can watch for an official announcement of who is performing on which Wednesday on June 3rd.
“We’ve got a variety of acts both local and non-local. Some of them have been here before, others are new to the concert series. It’s a diverse group of artists – a lot of very entertaining performers for sure,” he added.
“When you can come and watch different bands and individual performers with some of the pedigree that these acts have for free in the beautiful West Stettler Park, it makes for a great Wednesday evening,” he said, adding that organizers also ensure the performers are family-friendly.
“It’s definitely a nice addition to our community to be able to have a family activity on a Wednesday night during the summer.”
