When local resident Kevin Shuckburgh got a call from Stettler Co-op on Thursday morning, Sept. 1, little did he know that he would be a raffle winner at the end of that call.

Speaking about his win, Shuckburgh said he was ecstatic.

"I am very happy to have won the bike and think it's great how Co-op chose to give back to their customers," said Shuckburgh.

Customers had to put in their names in a box to win the lucky draw raffle.

A nationwide contest was held and Stettler's Co-op came within the top five stores to receive a $750 Monster bike and another $750 store credit.

All Co-op stores had set up Monster displays and had to take pictures of their display.

"Our staff were very enthusiastic and everyone pitched in to create our winning display," said Stettler Co-op manager Leigh-Ann Schowalter. "I am very proud of the staff we have and it was fun to see the team work and what they had accomplished together."

It was Schowalter and her staff's decision to give it back to the community and their customers.

"We are very proud to have won the bike and to be able to now give it to one of our customers," added Schowalter. "We had hundreds of entries and would like to thank everyone who came in to our store and took part in the contest, and congratulations to our winner."
