On Thursday evening, Jan. 21, both Big Valley and Stettler Regional Fire Rescue teams responded to a house fire near the Linda Hall community. The entire house was engulfed in flames, due to a fire that is believed to have ignited in the kitchen. The occupants of the house were evacuated safely and there are no injuries to report.

Late in the afternoon on Sunday, Jan. 24, the rescue team was called out to a single vehicle rollover east of Botha. The lone occupant of the vehicle escaped with minor injuries.

Later that evening the Fire Rescue team responded to another vehicle rollover near Donalda. The ambulance was on scene and 1 occupant was transported to hospital. The condition of that occupant is unknown.

The road conditions on Sunday were very icy, and the Stettler Regional Fire Rescue team would like to remind everyone to drive cautiously and defensively when the conditions are less than ideal.
