Ken Pfeiffer, businessman, musician and devoted volunteer passes away

Ken Pfeiffer, one of Stettler’s prominent businessmen and a longtime community supporter, passed away last Thursday.

Pfeiffer was known as a retailer, entrepreneur and a musician who served his church and community.

A member of the Rotary Club of Stettler for 40 years, he served as president in 1984 - 1985. He also served as a volunteer with the Stettler Music Festival and with the Stettler Trailer & Good Sam Club.

“Ken was always friendly and easy to visit with. He always had people around him and he enjoyed the company of others”, said Aubrey Brown a fellow Rotarian.

“Ken was a pioneer in the Stettler business community and a good mentor for other businesses owners”, said Keith Ryder, Executive Director of the Board of Trade and a fellow Rotarian.

Ken Pfeiffer is survived by his wife Evelyn, daughter Julie, son Scott, son James, daughter Jennifer, daughter Susan and his many grandchildren.

A memorial and celebration service for Ken Pfeiffer will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Stettler on Thursday June 9, at 2 p.m.
