The Heartland Cattlemen’s Classic returned to the Stettler Agriplex in January.

According to Alana Weaver, with the Stettler and District Agricultural Society, the Classic was “thrilled to see our number of spectators returning to normal” in the first show post COVID.

The well attended event had spectators checking out over 40 different exhibitors in the Open Show and 80 in the Junior Show.

For the Heartland Cattlemen’s Supper on Jan. 27 over 200 people were in attendance, according to organizers.

Over $20,000 was awarded in cash and prizes to the various winners thanks to a variety of sponsors.

In the bull category, the championship was awarded to Springside Cattle Company for their bulls SOS Fortune 500 and SOS Kickstart 825. Reserve champion was Miller Wilson Angus with bulls DMM Cool Classic 9K and DMM King George 23K.

The Cattlemen’s Classic ran Jan. 27-29, with an open heifer show the first day, the bull show the second day and, finally, the junior show on the third day.
