Parents and grandparents eagerly filled the stands at Stettler Elementary School on Thursday, March 3, to watch the Grade 2SG students perform their take on popular fairy tales.

Whether it was a Little Red Riding Hood traipsing through the forest, outwitting the nefarious wolf, or Beauty learning to love the Beast despite his appearance and circumstances, the children had fun performing for their families as much as their families enjoyed watching.

Led by teacher Sonya Geddes, the students worked to create their own little plays, retelling the tales in their own ways, adding their own creative touches. Students also contributed to costumes, making masks and lending dresses and costume jewelry to make the day just perfect.

After the plays were complete, the students served their parents and grandparents, bringing cookies, fruit and vegetables, and juiceboxes to the audience.
