Girl, 3, dies after crash between ATV and pickup truck near Linden, Alta.

Police say the driver of the pickup was unhurt

Police say a three-year-old girl has died following a crash in Alberta earlier this month involving an ATV and a pickup truck.

RCMP say they received a report on June 17 of a crash on a road near Linden, Alta., about 100 kilometres northeast of Calgary.

Police said at the time that the driver of the pickup was unhurt, while the occupants of the ATV, sisters aged three and 10, were taken to hospital.

They also said they believed the ATV entered the roadway from a rural residential driveway when it was hit by the passing pickup.

Police say the 10-year-old has since been released from hospital, but the three-year-old girl died in hospital on June 20.

RCMP say the investigation continues.
