Endiang is minus a couple of its older landmark buildings. The buildings had become in such a deteriorated state they were posing a public safety hazard so Stettler County had them removed last week.

The buildings demolished included the Endiang Open Bible Fellowship Church and the former Adelaide Donald residence.

The church building was moved into Endiang in 1957 from Hanna. In those years services were conducted by Miss Joan Grey and Miss Frances Zaccaglini. The church served parishioners from Endiang and surrounding area well until 1992, when the final service was held on Sept. 20 of that year.

The Adelaide Donald home was one of the original residences built when the new hamlet of Endiang sprang up on the CNR Hanna-Warden line in 1925. A number of families called that house home over the years and for a time it was also used as a teacherage.
