Drug prevention information
Everyone is invited to a drug prevention information meeting to be held on Wednesday, April 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the Conference Room, Ramada Inn & Suites in Stettler. An investigator from the RCMP Drug Section in Calgary will be presenting information pertaining to the abuse of marihuana, cocaine and other drugs.
ASSAULT
On April 10, a 39-year- old Stettler male was arrested after police responded to a complaint of domestic assault. The man will be charged with assault and was released with documents compelling him to Stettler Provincial Court on June 10 to enter a plea.
VANDALISM
On April 9, the old store in Nevis was found damaged. Culprits had smashed several windows that will be costly to replace.
THEFT
April 7, overnight, a vehicle parked along Taylor Street in Erskine was damaged after someone pried the door in an attempt to gain entry.
On April 8, overnight, an orange Allis Chalmer 716 16HP Garden Tractor with a 30-inch rototiller attachment on it was stolen from a yard in Maple Close in Erskine.
April 8th at 2:50 p.m. gas was stolen from a service station in the 6000 block of 50 Avenue, Stettler. A white car with Saskatchewan plates took $30 in fuel and then left heading east without paying.
