The dark day that had descended upon Canadian soldiers, was remembered after 75 years through Stettler’s Memorial Park service on Saturday morning, Aug. 19.

Veterans had travelled from Calgary and other parts of the province to participate and remember the sacrifices of Canadian soldiers.

It was a brief service, which began with Rev. Ross Helgeton’s “Invocation”, followed by greetings from some of the present guests.

There was a wreath laying at the memorial afterwards, with all guests proceeding to the Legion.
