For those in the community looking for an easy job to once a week to earn some extra cash, delivering the Stettler Independent means a pay cheque, some exercise and fun.

Just ask Stettler youth Tamara Wiebe, 12, who attends Lakeview Christian School. She has been delivering the Stettler Independent since last spring and really enjoys it.

Tamara she wanted to make a bit of pocket money, just for the usual stuff a kid enjoys.

She noted the job has its challenges, such as very hot and very cold weather. However, delivering the Stettler Independent also means getting a bit of exercise.

Tamara’s dad Ralph said the family sees her employment as a great learning opportunity. The youth learns responsibility and skills such as handling money and opening a bank account.

Tamara said she’s been happy delivering the Stettler Independent and hasn’t had any serious trouble since she started. Anyone interested in delivering the newspaper in Stettler can call the paper’s front desk at 403-742-2395.
