A fire restriction has been issued for the County of Stettler. This Fire Restriction:
1. PROHIBITS the issuance of fire permits and the discharge of all fire works;
2. ALLOWS burning barrels to be used provided they are covered with a metal mesh screen with openings no larger than 13 mm and;
3. ALLOWS fire pits contained by non-combustible material with a metal mesh screen with openings no larger than 13 mm and;
4. ALLOWS authorized burning at waste transfer sites.
This FIRE RESTRICTION comes into effect September 15, 2017 and will continue until further notice.
