Four individuals have been arrested by the Coronation RCMP following a break-and-enter in Castor on Feb. 3.

Around 2 a.m., the RCMP report that someone saw two individuals entering a secure compound in the community.

The witness contacted the property representative, who immediately attended the scene.

Once on scene, the property representative witnessed the two suspects get into a getaway vehicle which pulled up as they exited the property.

The property representative followed the fleeing vehicle, while remaining in contact with officers of Coronation RCMP.

Officers were able to make a traffic stop, with the assistance of officers from the Killam and Viking detachments.

“In a small community the problems associated with property related crimes are amplified,’said Sergeant John Pike, Coronation RCMP Detachment Commander.

“ As part of our Rural Crime Reduction Strategy we encourage members of the public and businesses to report suspicious activity. With the assistance of the community and the property representative we were able to locate the suspects involved.”
