Consort RCMP arrest five people on drug charges

Police seized cocaine, methamphetamine and MDMA with assistance from the Edmonton ALERT team

The RCMP have laid charges against five individuals after a drug trafficking investigation in the Consort area.

During the investigation between February 21, 2018 and March 9, 2018, police seized cocaine, methamphetamine and MDMA (ecstasy) with help from the Edmonton ALERT team.

Kyle John Walker, (30) of Consort was charged with trafficking of a controlled substance (x2).

Joshua Thiabult, (39) of Consort was charged with trafficking of a controlled substance, possession of property obtained by crime, breach of an undertaking.

Niomi Grautefestert, (31) of Coronation was charged with trafficking of a controlled substance (x3), possession of property obtained by crime (x3).

They were released from custody after a judicial hearing and will be appearing in Stettler Provincial Court on March 22, 2018.

Cynthia Anne Sinclair, (37) of Consort was charged with trafficking of a controlled substance (x3), possession of property obtained by crime, breach of an recognizance (x6). She was released from custody after a judicial hearing and will be appearing in Coronation Provincial Court on April 13, 2018.

Adrian Harty, (39) of Consort was charged with trafficking of a controlled substance (x3), possession of property obtained by crime (x3). He was remanded into custody after a judicial hearing and will be appearing in Red Deer Provincial Court on March 19, 2018.
