Clearview Public Schools continues public engagement sessions

Clearview Public Schools is continuing its ongoing public engagement sessions.

After hosting sessions in Botha, Byemoor, Big Valley, Erskine, and Donalda, Clearview Public Schools entered the last half of their engagement sessions with a meeting at Wm. E. Hay Secondary Campus in Stettler on March 14.

According to Clearview’s communications director, the attendance at the Stettler meeting was low; the majority of those in attendance were division staff and board members.

“I suppose this is a sign things are going well,” said Tricia Simon, Clearview’s communications director in a recent email.

For those who did attend, the Clearview board chair, Guy Neitz, and Clearview superintendent, Scot Leys, presented an overview of Clearview’s 2021-22 Annual Education Results Report (AERR) and a discussion on the divisions education plan for 2023-24, including focus on mental health, literacy and numeracy and more student engagement.

The presentation was followed by a question and answer session and small group chats.

Following the Stettler session, a session was held in Brownfield and Coronation on March 15.

Clearview’s Community engagement sessions will conclude with a final session held March 21 at Castor’s Gus Wetter School at 7 p.m.
