Clearview Public Schools appoints new principal for Castor’s Gus Wetter School

Announcements regarding changes throughout Clearview Public Schools continue to come throughout April.

The most recent announcement made relates to Gus Wetter School.

It was previously announced that Wendy Coppock, the current principal of Gus Wetter School, would be taking over as the Clearview Public Schools director of Inclusive Learning at the end of the current school year.

On April 14 Clearview Public Schools announced that Jordan Rhodes would be replacing Coppock as principal at Gus Wetter School.

Rhodes is new to the division, however has been a teacher for 16 years and been in administration for 12 years. His most recent role was as principal of Westmount School in Okotoks, a Kindergarten to Grade 9 school.

“We are excited to have Jordan joining our Clearview team,” said Clearview superintendent Brenda MacDonald, in a media release.

“Jordan will be an amazing fit for our clearview culture, and in Gus Wetter School.”

Rhodes previous experience includes working as a teacher at a Grade 9 to 12 school, serving as a high school vice principal for eight years, and four years as principal at Westmount school.

“My wife and I have a young family and we are looking to put down roots close to our extended family,” said Rhodes, via the release.

“We are excited to be coming to Central Alberta and to a smaller community than we’ve been living in … I’m excited to be coming to Gus Wetter School. The school is doing amazing work and has a strong reputation.”
