Castor firefighter honoured

Castor

A special celebration was held at the Castor Fire Hall on June 14.

Captain Scott Bagshaw was honoured for 32 years of service with the department.

The presentation coincided with the Castor Fire Department's belated Christmas party, so family members and invited guests were also in attendance.

Before the ceremony, everyone was invited to join the firefighters for supper.

Castor Mayor Richard Elhard led a delegation of town councillors to the event and presented Bagshaw with his medal after the meal concluded.

There are currently around 18 active volunteers with the fire department.
