Firefighters attend blaze at grain field in Stettler County

Photos taken north of Highway 56 and east of Highway 601

These images were taken by long-time Stettler resident Lori Bennett, north of Hwy. 56 and east of Hwy. 601, earlier this afternoon, Sept. 27.

“The stubbles had caught fire from what we could figure and see from where we were. The firefighters were doing an amazing job at the scene,” said Bennett, who no longer lives in the community and was visiting.

Stettler and area firefighters were at the location to put out the blaze.

The Independent is awaiting comments from Stettler and area Fire Chief Mark Dennis.
