Botha fire causes damage but no injury

A weekend fire in Botha caused substantial damage but no serious injuries on Saturday. The Stettler Fire and Rescue Chief Mark Dennis issued the following statement with regard to the incident:

A gutted garage – Fire destroyed a garage and spread over to the adjacent house but was put out by firefighters before causing more substantial damage to the residential structure.

The Stettler Fire and Rescue Chief Mark Dennis issued the following statement with regard to the incident:

“This past weekend saw a house fire challenge the Stettler Regional Fire Rescue Team in Botha, AB.

“On Saturday, March 20, Stettler Regional Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire in the Village of Botha.

“The fire began in the garage, where a propane leak ignited.

“The garage and a part of the house structure were damaged, but no person was seriously injured in the fire.”
