The Big Valley Library invites you to check out the ongoing programs for adults they have on offer. Whether you’re looking to learn a new skill, make connections with like-minded people or share your love of books, there’s a program for you.
Awaken the artist inside you. The Big Valley Art Group meets at the Big Valley Train Station every Wednesday beginning at 10 a.m. Join them for fun and creativity. For more information call Rose at 587-799-0657 or 403-741-9800.
Love art, but lack the skill? The Library Drop In Colouring Club for adults is all about relaxation, socializing and enjoying the experience of putting pencil to paper. The colouring club meets at the Library every Thursday afternoon beginning at 3 p.m.
Stitch your stress away. Sit’n Stitch is held in the Library at 2 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month. Knitting, crocheting, cross-stitch, needlework, quilting or whichever handicraft you enjoy. Bring your project and spend a couple hours with your favourite pastime in a social setting.
The Big Valley Ukulele Club combines love for the ukulele and community connection, meeting each Monday at 10 a.m. at the Big Valley Train Station. Whether joining a group is your first move to learn to play the ukulele, or practicing by yourself has become boring, joining a club could be right for you.
If you are interesting in adding a social aspect to your reading try getting together with people who share your passion. The Big Valley Book Club meets in the Library at 10:00 a.m. on the last Saturday of each month. New members are always welcome.
Seven players came out for crib at the Big Valley Inn on Sunday, Feb. 4. Dale Kobi took first place, Stan Nattestad took second and Teresa Greig took third. Ross Annable and Caroline Pound shared the booby. Teresa Greig won the draw. The Big Valley Inn Crib players meet every Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
