Assault suspect gets away with victim

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

Stettler Detachment responded to a complaint along Secondary Highway No. 601 north of Stettler on Oct. 6 at 12:05 p.m. A witness saw a female being violently assaulted by a male who is described as being in his late 20's, light complexion, light brown hair with a goatee, last seen wearing a black hoodie with white markings on it.

The female was forced back into the vehicle which sped east on the highway. During the incident, a handgun was discharged in the direction of the witness who was not injured. Surrounding RCMP and nearby municipal police services assisted with roadblocks and patrols in efforts to locate the vehicle. Neither the vehicle, suspect or the assault victim have been located as of evening Oct. 6.

VANDALISM

An oil and gas site, located in the northwest portion of the County of Stettler, was the victim of vandalism when their property was sprayed with paint on Oct. 1.

A vehicle was vandalized on Oct. 4 while parked in the 6100 block of 50 Avenue in Stettler. It was sprayed with paint.

THEFT

An oil and gas site suffered a break in to their compound on Sept.29.

It was located in the southwest area of the County of Stettler, and it appeared to be an attempt to steal property.

Oct. 1 saw another oil and gas site victimized when thieves broke into the compound and then into the office. This location was in the northwest county area.
