An update from the Stettler Regional Emergency Management Agency

SREMA recommends postponing or cancelling all gatherings until a later date

On Friday, March 27th and Monday, March 30th, the Government of Alberta and Alberta Health Services announced the following new mandates to alleviate the spread of COVID-19:

- gatherings in Alberta are now limited to 15 people or less.

SREMA recommends postponing or cancelling all gatherings until a later date.

- all citizens following mandatory self-isolation must not leave their property.

- all non-essential businesses must temporarily close. For a list of all essential services in Alberta, visit: https://www.alberta.ca/essential-services.aspx.

Alberta Health Services has also boosted service for Albertans with mental health concerns (7 a.m. to 11 p.m. -

seven days a week).

- mental Health Help Line: 1-877-303-2642

- addiction Help Line: 1-866-332-2323

Calls made to these numbers between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. will be routed through 811.

SREMA would also like to remind residents of the Hotline operating daily from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. to access regional information regarding Stettler and area: 403-742-7300.

If you are self-isolating:

- stay home.

- do not attend work, social events or any other public gatherings.

- do not go outside for a walk through your neighbourhood or park. This includes children in mandatory self-isolation.

- avoid contact with other people, including household members and especially seniors and people with chronic conditions or compromised immune systems.

- don’t take public transportation like buses, taxis or ride sharing.
