The individual believed to be behind multiple break-ins around central Alberta in January was arrested by Bashaw RCMP last week.

The individual believed to be behind multiple break-ins around central Alberta in January was arrested by Bashaw RCMP last week.

Jason Martin, 45, of Alix, was arrested and charged with property-related offences on Jan. 30 by Bashaw RCMP, with the assistance of the Stettler RCMP.

A search warrant execution at Martin’s property turned up a number of items believed to have been acquired through the break-and-enters and police are currently cataloguing items to match the stolen property to existing files, Stettler detachment commander Sgt. Phil Penny stated in an email.

Until the items are completely catalogued and owners of identified items contacted, police said they would not be releasing any information specifically about the incidents in which they believe Martin was involved, nor any information about the items recovered at his property.

Martin will appear in court on Feb. 11.
