Photos: Stettler Imperials eliminated from 2025 ECSHL playoffs

Stettler

It was a game full of fast action and big hits, but ultimately the Stettler Imperials couldn't get the win against the Sedgewick Sabres in game four of playoff action on March 8.

With the 4-2 defeat, Stettler was eliminated from the playoffs winning one game in the best-of-five series.

The action was kept tight with Sedgewick opening scoring in the first period, then picking up a second to open the next frame. Stettler's Ethan Rost answered back about halfway through the period keeping things to a one-goal differential.

Still down by one and with nothing to lose, the Imperials pulled their goalie with around seven minutes left in the third period. Unfortunately, the gambit didn't pay off. A breakaway by Sedgewick's Trevor Bromby resulted in an unassisted empty-net goal.

Keeping the pressure on, Sabre Kyle Sanders would score again with just over two minutes left in the frame before Stettler's Patrick Fisher would finish off scoring with 49 seconds left in the period.

Sedgewick will move on to the League finals playing either the Provost Combines or the Oyen Eagles.

Stettler ended the season placing third overall in the regular season with 28 points, and player Dylan Houston was awarded both the league's top-scorer and most valuable player.
