Winter seems endless in Stettler

Residents wake up to more snow

It’s the middle of April and still snowing in Stettler and area. Ken Gerber shovels his driveway April 13 and shrugs off this year’s seeming endless winter saying, “It’s Alberta.”

He thinks, however, that winter will eventually end.

“We’re waiting patiently like everyone else.”

It’s -2 C in Stettler this morning with a high expected to be 2 C.

The hot spot in Alberta today is Cardston with a temperature of 3 C. The cold spot in the province is Egg Island at -18.9 C.

In Canada the hot spot is Western Head, NS at 14.1 C and the cold spot is CFS Alert, NV with a bone chilling -26.4 C.
