Town and County of Stettler sign pair of joint proclamations

Proclamations were signed on April 28

The Town and County of Stettler have issued a pair of joint proclamations.

Mayor Sean Nolls and Reeve Larry Clarke signed proclamations on National Volunteer Week and National Nurses Week on April 28.

National Volunteer Week runs from April 27 to May 3 and is supported by Volunteer Canada.

The proclamation notes that 24 million Canadians volunteer their time every year, totalling five billion hours.

With many volunteers in the local community, the two municipalities have formally recognized the week.

A volunteer appreciation lunch will take place on Main Street near FCSS on May 2.

The second proclamation, Nurses Week, celebrates and recognizes the "integral role" that nurses play in the delivery of health care in the community.

In 2025, Nurses Week is recognized from May 12 to May 18.
