A free barbecue was held outside of Stettler and District FCSS in honour of Volunteer Week on May 2.
According to organizers, the event, which was held in partnership with several other organizations, was well-attended.
Estimates are that around 225 people attended the barbecue, which ran from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Reanne Wagner, an FCSS Staff member, noted that they actually ran out of food about 15 minutes before they were scheduled to end.
National Volunteer Week ran April 27 to May 3.
