Myranda Shepherd of Stettler's Wm. E Hay Secondary School will have a new job when school returns this fall.
It was announced on May 13 that Shepherd, who has served as the principal of Wm. E Hay and Stettler Outreach Campus for the last five years, will be taking over as Clearview School Division's new Assistant Superintendent of Learning Services, effective Aug. 11, 2025.
"I'm excited to welcome Myranda Shepherd as our new Assistant Superintendent of Learning Services,” said Superintendent Scot Leys, in the release announcing the change. "“I want to sincerely thank Myranda for her outstanding leadership at Wm. E. Hay over the past five years. She brings a wide range of experiences and a deep commitment to students and families—qualities that will undoubtedly allow her to thrive in this new role. I look forward to all that she will bring to this next chapter with Clearview.”
As part of her new role, Shepherd will work with and support the schools division-wide to "support teaching and learning, strengthen inclusive education, and guide system-wide initiatives aimed at improving student achievement."
During her teaching career, Shepherd has spent time as a consultant for Alberta Education and as princpal of Bashaw School.
"It has been a true privilege to work alongside the students, staff, and families of Wm. E. Hay Stettler Secondary Campus and Stettler Outreach Campus over the past five years,” said Shepherd.
