The Counties of Stettler and Paintearth have announced that seasonal road bans are now in effect.
In Stettler County, all range roads and township roads with exceptions remain at 100 per cent axle weight.
The exceptions are:
- Range Road 20-4 between Township Road 36-4 and Township 37-0 is limited to 4,500 kg.
Other areas where permanent road bans are:
- Range Road 18-4 between Township 39-0 until the Hamlet of Botha limits is limited to 4,500 kg.
- Range Road 19-5 between Highway 12 and Township Road 38-4 is limited to 4,500 kg.
- Range Road 20-4 between Township 39-0 and Township Road 38-2 is limited to 4,500 kg, and between Township Road 40-2 and Township Road 40-4 is limited to 75 per cent axle weight.
- Range Road 20-5 between Township Road 39-0 and Township Road 38-4 is limited to 4,500 kg.
- Range Road 21-0 between Highway 835 and Highway 56 is limited to 4,500 kg.
- Township 38-4 between Highway 835 and Highway 56 is limited to 4,500 kg between Township Road 19-4 and Highway 850 is limited to 75 per cent.
- Township Road 40-4 between the Summer Village of White Sands and Highway 56 and between the village and Range Road 20-4 is limited to 75 per cent.
- Township 40-2 between between Highway 835 and Range Road 20-4 is limited to 75 per cent.
- Range Road 20-2 between Highway 601 and Township Road-40-4 is limited to 75 per cent.
- The road to Ol' MacDonald's Resort is permanently banned at 90 per cent, excluding recreational vehicles, motor homes, and holiday trailers.
- Township Road 40-3 between Range Road 21-1 and Buffalo Lane is limited to 90 per cent.
- Carlisle Estates and Rochon Sands Heights are limited to 75 per cent.
From Township 34-4, Range Road 21-0 to Township 35-0 east to Scollard Road, then north to Highway 590 is a dedicated haul route.
A dedicated truck route is from Highway 12, South on Range Road 19-4, west on Township Road 38-4 to Highway 56.
Paintearth County
In Paintearth County the following bans are in place:
- Highway 855 between Highway 589 and Highway 12 is limited to 75 per cent.
- Highway 855 between Highway 12 and Township Road 404 is limited to 90 per cent.
- Highway 861 from 0.8 km north of Highway 12 to 2.72 km north of Highway 12 is limited to 75 per cent.
- Highway 872 from the junction of Highway 586 east to Highway 12 is limited to 90 per cent.
- Highway 872 from the Junction of 599 to Township Road 394 is limited to 75 per cent.
