The Town of Bashaw has put in place a fire restriction effective May 5, 2025.
Campfires in backyard pits, portable fire pits, barbecues, electric smokers, and infrared-style heaters are all permitted to be used during the restriction.
The town requests that fires do not be left unattended.
When putting out a fire, the recommendation is to douse it, stir the ashes and then soak it again until they cool to the touch.
The fire restriction will remain in place until further notice.
