Update: House fire in Stettler

Fire started just after 4 p.m.

At 4:13 p.m. on May 8, Stettler RCMP received a 911 call that a structure was on fire near. 48 Street and 49 Avenue with the fire department also responding.

What started off as a single structure fire ended up spreading to a second home, then a third. 

According to RCMP media relations, two homes were destroyed in the blaze while the third suffered minor damage. 

While the RCMP continues its investigation, initial reports are that the fire is not suspicious in nature. 

Media relations notes that everyone made it out safe and no injuries are reported. 

Crews remained on site for several hours, making sure the fire was contained, and 50 Avenue at 48 Street was blocked off to traffic for fire operations.
