The musical prowess of Blue Rodeo filled the Majestic Theatre auditorium on April 9.

Members of Blue Rodeo tribute group Diamond Mine Derek Barnes, who took on the role of Jim Cuddy, and Barry Payne, who assumed the mantle of Greg Keelor, were in town as part of a five-stop tour which included Ponoka and Red Deer.

The duo played many of Blue Rodeo's greatest hits, including Til I Am Myself Again, Head Over Heels, How Long, Photograph, and Try.

Around 75 people were in the audience for the roughly two-hour show in the 100 person capacity venue.

As usual, the Friends of the Majestic Theatre were on hand running a concession before the show and during the 20-minute intermission.

The next show for the Friends of the Majestic Theatre will be a Garth Brooks tribute show on May 7.

Tickets are available by calling Val Wandler at 403-358-8575 or Shelley Boileau at 403-588-9958.
