I am once again writing you to update our lot saga with the (CAO) Peter Simons and the village council of Donalda. It has been almost two years since we purchased a half a lot from them. In a July 2009 issue of the Stettler Independent Mr. Simons stated that the subdivision could be done by August 2009. Well, it is now March 2010 and we are still waiting for the subdivision to be done and to receive our title.
When we last inquired about it, Mr. Simons said he didn’t care where our title was and he didn’t want any more to do with it.
How do you deal with someone who is supposed to conduct themselves in a professional manner, but has an attitude like that? This is what we have to deal with.
The problem in our village is solely the fault of Mr. Simons, Mayor Terry Nordahl, Councilor Marty Larson and Councilor Paul McKay. They refuse to take responsibility for what they have done to us, and how they have handled this situation. We have done everything they have asked of us, but we have nothing in return.
It is because of their actions or lack thereof that the village is going through a dissolutions study. If they would listen to the concerns of the people in the community, this would not have happened.
I don’t know if they know how to tell the truth, but if they do, all we can ask is for a truthful answer from them about the sale of Lot 8, the subdivision, and our title.
I feel we deserve at least that much.
