On behalf of the Stettler Hospice Society I wanted to advise your readers that we are absolutely “Open for business”. It was reported in your newspaper that due to Points West Living Stettler’s staffing crises that the hospice would be closed.
As an organization we understand that this does not meet the commitment that we have made to the citizens of Stettler and area or our funding partners. We therefore made arrangements with a local lodge and through our relationship with Home care as well as many great volunteers we were able to accommodate a patient and ensure great care at her end of life journey.
We remain committed to providing this very important service to Stettler and area. We will continue to ensure all are able to access this care regardless of the ability to use our suite at Points West Living.
