Dear Editor:
I often drop mail in the mailbox at the Stettler post office and think nothing of it.
A while ago, however, I was ready to mail a document, when a thought struck me: “I’ve spent months working on these papers. What if this envelope gets lost after being mixed with a million other pieces of mail? Am I really ready to risk it?” I decided I was, and I wasn’t disappointed.
Here’s a big thank you to Canada Post at Stettler, and let me include Lorne, for the bushels and bushels of mail they have delivered for me and for others.
Even during the Christmas rush, I notice, the system appeared to be working well. One day in December, just as I stepped into the post office door, I heard something you don’t hear too often at a business, a hearty peal of laughter. One of the clerks was happy and it did me good to hear it.
