This (Sunday) morning I watched a true professional at work as a Stettler landmark was torn down.
Stettler Travel on Main Street which used to house Graham’s Jewellery came slowly crashing down to the ground.
That big shovel slowly picked away at the debris and at last the whole front of the building unwillingly fell into the middle.
Always very careful not to damage existing buildings around it; I guess after 30 years of experience that is how you do it.
For me it was an awesome sight. I was told later that day that it was built in 1906 and the oldest building on Main Street that was still in business.
Now the question is who will fill that spot on our Main Street.
