Two men from Olds are among three people facing multiple charges after being arrested by Coronation RCMP.
On Friday, March 7, Coronation RCMP officers were dispatched to an ATCO site north of Halkirk where a suspicious vehicle was reported.
"The complainant indicated that there appeared to be leaking fluids coming from underneath the parked vehicle," police said in a media release on Sunday, March 9.
RCMP located three men inside the vehicles, as well as many items that were later determined to be stolen property. All three were arrested at the scene, and a search incidental to arrest led to the discovery of approximately 12 grams of suspected methamphetamine, break-in instruments, stolen fuel (from Town of Halkirk office) and items stolen from ATCO site.
A 48-year-old Olds man, a 50-year-old Olds man and a 45-year-old Calgary man have all been charged with possession of a controlled substance, breaking and entering, two counts of mischief under $5,000, theft under $5,000, three counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000, possession of stolen property over $5,000, and possession of break and enter tools.
As a result of the investigation, Cory Davies (48), a resident of Olds, David Pierce (50), a resident of Olds, and Daniel Gravestock (45), a resident of Calgary, have jointly been charged with the following offences:
Additionally, the 48-year-old Olds man has been charged with breach of probation. The other two are charged with two counts of breaching their release orders.
After Judicial Interim Release Hearings, the Calgary man and the 50-year-old Olds man were remanded into custody and will be appearing in court on March 10 and 11 at Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer. The younger of the two Olds men was released with conditions to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Coronation on March 14.
