The musical stylings of Neil Diamond will be coming to Bashaw's Majestic Theatre later in December when Will Chalmers brings his "Solitary Man" tribute show to town.
Chalmers, a Canadian singer and guitarist, has been performing his Neil Diamond tribute show for the last two decades, entertaining audiences across Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
Diamond has a "unique vocal style" and has earned 11 number-one hits, selling more than 120 million records over his career. These accomplishments have led him to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame.
Natural resemblance to Diamond aside, Chalmers credits the success of his tribute show to the staying power of Diamond's music over his own talents.
"Will's many fans would disagree," said publicist Merv Buchanan. "The talented and dedicated entertainer loves to get a crowd singing along and being part of the show."
According to Buchanan, Chalmers has a "flawless" diamond voice and a "relaxed stage presence" which has entranced audiences.
The show Chalmers is bringing to Bashaw is "A Diamond Christmas," a holiday-themed show featuring Diamond's most popular hits plus a selection of Christmas songs.
Chalmers will take the stage in Bashaw on Dec. 17.
Tickets are $35. As usual, the Friends of the Majestic Theatre will be running a bar and concession.
Doors open at 6 p.m., with the show commencing at 7.
