Matt Cage performs in Bashaw

Elvis tribute takes the stage in Bashaw

"Elvis" was in Bashaw's Majestic Theatre on July 16.

Award-winning tribute artist Matt Cage, who has performed on the Las Vegas strip and on cruise ships in his Elvis Presley persona, stopped in Bashaw on his current tour to a crowd of around 70 people.

The concert was arranged by the Friends of the Majestic and booked through Trend Entertainment, a music company dedicated to getting live music into underserved markets.

Previous concerts that have taken place at the Majestic Theatre include Jimmy Buffett and Tim McGraw tribute acts.

Cage performed two roughly 35-minute sets and performed many of The King's greatest hits, including "Hound Dog," "All Shook Up," "Don't Be Cruel," and more!

Even the audience got involved when Cage performed "Devil in Disguise," with audience member Rita dancing with the singer.

The Friends of the Majestic also operated a concession which sold a variety of soft and alcoholic beverages, and snacks.

Music will return to the Majestic in August when a Bob Seger tribute act comes to town.
