In a few weeks, the magic of musical entertainment will be holding West Stettler Park in its embrace.

For the 2023 season, the Town of Stettler is bringing 10 acts to the West Stettler Park Gazebo Stage.

Running every Wednesday from the end of June, Stettler’s Jazz Guys is the first act to hit the stage.

Following the Jazz Guys, a mix of local acts and those from further away will be performing, with The River Jacks taking the stage on July 5, Off The Rails on July 12, Calgary-based Erin Ross on July 19, and Frank Peters and Range Patrol on July 26 wrapping things up for the month.

Things move a little closer to home to start August, with Stettler-based Herle Maggard on Aug. 2, Stettler’s own Young Guns on Aug. 9, Delia-based performer Harry Hewson performing on Aug. 16, and Lacombe-based Flashback Freddie performing on Aug. 23 before the summer series draws to a close with the vocal talents of Lewis and Royal on Aug. 30.

All shows run from 7 to 8 p.m. and are completely free to attend.

“This year’s Entertainment in the Park lineup offers something for everyone. With a wide range of musical genres including country, rock, blues and jazz, this year’s Entertainment in the Park is a showcase of local and out-of-town artists,” said Town of Stettler recreation manager Brad Robbins.

“We have brought back some recent favourites in addition to some new acts that will perform on the West Stettler stage for the first time. So make your way out to West Stettler every Wednesday night of the summer, bring a lawn chair and enjoy some free live entertainment!”
