Coronation Performing Arts (CPA) hosted its first show of 2025 on Jan. 25.
The musical entertainment for the evening was Mountain Music, an Alabama tribute band fronted by Hanna, Alta.'s own Elton Lammie.
A near sellout, the evening had 191 tickets sold for the entertainment portion of the evening and nearly that many present for the supper portion as well.
As usual, the supper was catered by Anne's Country Cooking and on the menu were everything but bagel chicken with a scallion cream sauce, stuffed potatoes, a cauliflower curry cream sauce, carrot salad, crunchy romaine salad and an assortment of desserts.
The Alberta-based Mountain Music took to the stage at 7:30 p.m. and played many of Alabama's classics including I'm in a Hurry (and I don't know why), Can't Keep a Good Man Down, and Love in the First Degree.
Mountain Music played two roughly 45-minute sets plus an encore.
In between songs, Lammie kept the audience laughing with tales about his time on the road, his ex-wives, and more.
Up next for CPA is Piano Heist duelling pianos on Feb. 15.
