The "infectious rhythm" of Latin Music will be taking over Bashaw's Majestic Theatre on March 5 when "Conga" comes to town.
Internationally known entertainer Claudia Santiago will be bringing her show on the road for a tour of Alberta in March with stops in High River, Ponoka, and Red Deer.
Based out of Calgary, the Chilean-born singer is known for "her powerful, soulful vocals and commanding stage presence," according to Trend Entertainment's Merv Buchanan, the publicist for the tour.
"On stage, television, or in the recording studio, Claudia performs with amazing range, sensitivity and control thanks in part to her early operatic training and years of experience," said Buchanan. "At dinner shows, festivals, or corporate events, she is equally at home with an orchestra, a trio, or solo. Her style, confidence, and smooth delivery give the impression she was born with a microphone in her hand."
Tickets for the Bashaw show are $35 and can be had by calling Val Wandler at 403-358-8575, Shelley Boileau at 403-588-9958 or e-transferring majesticfriends@gmail.com.
