For the Advance

Rehearsals and set construction are well underway for the 2019 edition of the Castor Little Theatre production.

This year’s presentation will be the Samuel French licensed farce entitled Jack of Diamonds written by Marcia Kash and Douglas E. Hughes. Jack of Diamonds will be the thirty-seventh play that Castor Little Theatre has produced since its inception in 1983.

Jack of Diamonds is a two-act play centred around a high-class old age home, where the seniors have recently discovered that they have lost all their money through a scam. When the scammer ends up in the home and is recognized by his victims, hijinks ensue as the seniors try to exact their revenge.

The cast and crew of this year’s production are a mix of seasoned performers who have been part of Castor Little Theater for years and several new performers marking their entrance into amateur theatre. The production is being co-directed by Rob Nichols and Marilyn Weber.
