Make a great gift for the one you love when you come to Green Screen Valentines Cards & Make your Handwriting into a Digital Font on Saturday, Jan. 30 at 10:30 a.m. Pose in costume in our photo booth, put your picture on a fun digital background and sign your masterpiece with a brand new font based on your writing. Ages eight and over.

Tickets are now available for The Lady in the Van on Monday, Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. at the Jewel Theatre. This film tells the true story of the relationship between Alan Bennett and the singular Miss Shepherd, a woman of uncertain origins who ‘temporarily’ parked her van in Bennett’s London driveway and proceeded to live there for 15 years. Maggie Smith has been nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in this warm-hearted romp. Tickets available at the library and Jewel Theatre.

Pick up your copy of Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walter for Readers’ Circle on Thursday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. What it’s about: Spanning decades, the book kicks off in 1962 on the Italian coast, following the ups and downs of a love affair that ends in Hollywood years later. This book is being made into a movie in 2016.

Do you want to learn how to sew? Join us on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. for Sew Cool Saturday. You will make a fun and crazy pillow case for your bed at home. Everyone aged eight and over is welcome. Please pre-register at 403-742-2292.

Join us on Thursday, Feb. 11 at 4 p.m. to make a Hug in a Mug for Valentine’s Day. Decorate a mug with chalkboard paint, fill it with homemade hot chocolate mix, and craft a gorgeous card for someone special.

Little people, bring your big people on Friday, Feb. 12 at 10:30 a.m. for a Read & Rhyme Special Event: All the People I Love. Kids of ages up to five are invited to join Kayla for a morning filled with fun Valentine’s activities.

Let’s create wonderful things with whipped cream on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 10:30 a.m. during a cake decorating primer with Ben Huo. Open to all ages. Please pre-register at 403-742-2292, prepare for deliciousness.
