Wm. E. Hay students learn the game of cricket

WILDCATS' CORNER -- Following our fall break, report cards will go home on Wednesday, Nov. 16. Parent-teacher interviews are on the evening of Thursday, Nov. 24 from 6:30-9 p.m. in the gym.

The junior high girls' senior volleyball team finished the season third in their pool. As the volleyball season wraps up, basketball tryouts start. The junior badminton club has also started up. Mr.Thorne's Grade 9 Outdoor Education class has taken advantage of some excellent fall weather by learning and playing cricket. The Secondary Campus happens to have all the equipment required and the students have had a blast playing a game that is so foreign to many of us. Hopefully, the weather continues and the students can continue to play this outstanding sport right up until Christmas, wouldn't that be nice.

The play this year is called "Almost, Maine." It is a play about falling in love and falling out of love. The play will be performed from Dec. 1–3. On Friday, Dec. 2 the play will be a dinner theater. Tickets are now on sale at the high school office and at Wells Furniture. During the play, "Be The Change" will be having a silent auction, also running on the Night of the Bands, and the proceeds will be going towards a local charity. The Fine Arts board will be having a Coffee House on Friday, Nov. 25. The school's Remembrance Day service was held on Tuesday, Nov. 8 and the Stettler Concert Band and Show Choir performed at the event.

The Fellowship of Christian Students is having a bake sale every Thursday up to the end of the school year to fundraise for their trip to Guatemala in July. They showed the movie, Woodlawn, this past Sunday, Nov. 13 at the Alliance Church at 5:30 p.m. and entry was by donation. All proceeds from the movie has gone towards the students who are going to Guatemala.
