Wishing for a safe grad

Hope everyone had a safe and happy May long weekend, it’s always nice to see the official start to camping season begin.

I, myself, gave up trying to camp over may May long weekend simply because if I do go, it always seems to snow, so I’ll leave this long weekend up to you.

So, is every one ready for grad this next weekend? We have many Botha kids graduating this year. Our graduates include John Nafziger, Taylor Starling, Derek Mueller, Tyler Seyer, Ty Rajewski, Kendra Grams, Rique Dempsey and Bruce VanLanduyt. We are very proud of each and everyone of you.

Once again safe grad will be held at the Botha arena, remember safe grad saves lives.

Carpet bowling continues Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. and floor curling Thursdays at 7 p.m. at the Botha Senior Centre. They will be hosting Bingo on June 8, doors open at 6:30 p.m., everyone is welcome.

The Old Time Dance Club will be kickin’ it up with its last Sunday dance on May 30 and the last dance of the season will be Friday June 11. Be sure to come out for the last two dances before they break for summer.

The Botha United Church is continuing to holding worship at 9 a.m. on Sundays. Starting in June joint services begin again. June 6 will be held in Big Valley, June 13 in Botha and June 20 in Erskine with Reverend Susan Bowyer presiding; please note, there will be no service for the month of July.

Don’t forget Shep’s Crew will be walking this weekend in the MS Super Cites walk Sunday and as Leigh Shepherd is the ambassador this year, we will be starting the walk.
